⚽ 8v8 Soccer Rules 

⏱ Match Duration

• Two halves 25 minutes 

• 5-minute halftime

👥 Team Composition

• 8 players on the field per team

  • No designated goalkeeper

• Minimum to play: 6 players

🧤 No Goalie Rules

• No player may use their hands, even in front of the goal

• Players may defend the goal line but:

  • No camping in front of goal (e.g., no "human goalie")

  • A defender cannot stay within 1 yard of the goal line for more than 3 seconds unless actively engaging the ball

• Blocked shots by the body are allowed, as long as arms aren’t used

⚖️ General Rules

• Kick-ins 

• No offsides

• Slide tackling is not allowed

• Substitutions on the fly (or during stoppages, depending on level)

❌ Fouls 

• Standard fouls: tripping, pushing, handballs, etc.

• Goals must be scored from outside the restricted “no-camping zone” (if defined)
